Column NameAPI Column NameData TypeDescriptionSample Values
ProjectIDproject_idtextThis is the identification number of the capital improvement program (CIP) project. ProjectID (aka subproject ID) is a unique number that is automatically created by eCAPRIS. eCAPRIS defines and monitors projects at this level. Schedule (phase), project cost estimates and summary information are developed and monitored here. Used to join together the project details and project shapes datasets.
ProjectNameproject_nametextProjectName (aka Subproject Name in eCAPRIS) is a title given to identify the project (aka Subproject in eCAPRIS). It is not a unique identifier. It should give a primary identification of Project’s location, type, and/or scope of work. It does not include a detailed scope for the Project. It can be changed or updated after it has been created, at the discretion of the Responsible Department, Managing Department, or Budget Office. It should NOT be used for filtering, sorting or identifying Projects for reporting purposes, as a name change in the system could alter or break a report that is pointed to the Subproject Name table in eCAPRIS. The field has a 75 character maximum.
ProjectDescriptionLocationproject_descriptiontextThe combined text description and location of a project that appears in the project details pane. Provides an explanation of the project’s scope of work, including ‐ but not limited to ‐ the location (if applicable) and a description of any improvement(s). The description is limited to 250 characters, and the location is limited to 500 characters for a total of 750 characters in the combined field.
Categorycategory_idtextCategory (aka subproject category) is a high level indication of the central focus of the project (aka subproject). There may be multiple efforts included in the project and therefore multiple category types could apply. In such cases, the central focus of the project should be selected. For example, a street reconstruction project may include water/wastewater line rehab/replacement and drainage work, but the central focus of the project is Capital Renewal.
Statusproject_stage_idtextThe ID for the stage the project is in. The project status (anticipated, active, hold, cancelled, or complete) provides a high level indication of the project’s status.
Phaseproject_stage_id2textThe ID for the stage the project is in. The project phase (preliminary, design, bid/award, construction, post construction) provides a more detailed indication of the project’s phase.
