CDP’s forests program targets the largest companies globally, collecting data on their management of deforestation risk through the lens of key agricultural drivers of deforestation (timber, palm oil, soy, cattle products & biofuels). In 2015, 700 companies are requested to respond to the program. The request is issued on behalf of 298 investor signatories with $19 trillion in assets. Dataset on corporate commitments, standards and targets reported in 2013 related to the key agricultural drivers of deforestation. This dataset excludes private responders. Please note that not all companies report on all forest risk commodities. This may be due to the company submitting a partial disclosure or because only a limited number of the commodities are relevant to their business.

| Additional information on third party certification targets | additional_information_on_third_party_certification_targets | text | The company has not yet defined quantitative targets for certified sustainable origin of the commodity. Certification not planned for near future, considering the small quantities used. 100% compliance with Nestlé Deforestation and Forest Stewardship Position and Forest Based Responsible Sourcing Guidelines. These cover paper, palm oil, soya, meat and other commodities. We have also committed to the Consumer Goods Forum 2020 target for zero net deforestation. It should be noted that our RSGs are stricter than FSC, RSPO and RTRS regarding deforestation commitment. Purchased amounts tracked, but such proportions would provide little value add data considering the quantities purchased in relation to other commodities, etc. The results of the in-depth materiality assessment of the use of forest risk commodities will help Jerónimo Martins design its strategy for achieving full assurance of sustainable use of these commodities in all its Private Brand and Perishable products, including standards and target setting. view top 100 |
