| Question Name | question_name | text | Please list the most significant climate hazards faced by your city and indicate the probability and consequence of these hazards, as well as the expected future change in frequency and intensity. Please also select the top 3 assets or services that are affected by the climate hazard, and provide a description of the impact. Please identify the factors that most greatly affect your city’s ability to adapt to climate change, and indicate how those factors either enhance or challenge this ability. Please provide a summary of emissions by sector and scope as defined in the Global Protocol for Community Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventories (GPC) in the table below. Please provide details of your total city-wide base year emissions reduction (absolute) target. In addition, you may add rows to provide details of your sector-specific targets, by providing the base year emissions specific to that target. Please describe how your city’s climate change action plan addresses the following key areas, and provide details on the location of this evidence within your plan. view top 100 |

| Comments | comments | text | The City is in the progress of completing a full climate risk assessment. Given that we have get to complete this, we answered these questions based on research and different assessments conducted by universities and nonprofits. The Hazards identified represent those that where evaluated to be of the highest likelihood and consequence for the City of Edmonton (i.e. those hazards for which the City of Edmonton is less prepared for). All hazards were evaluated, but only results for priority hazards are included. The entire assessment is provided within the "Vulnerability and Risk Assessment: Projected Future Climate Hazards and Impacts for City of Edmonton" report. Please note: responses providing level ratings are scaled to proportionally match what was used in the assessment chart. E.G. Risk Level percentages were divided into 5 sections to match the CDP response options, and impact levels were selected as 1, 2, or 3. City of Montréal has identified 2 hazards that are not listed as an answer. There are no target years or specific metrics defined per goal. Instead, the plan consists of goals with different time frames. Their progress is annually presented in the Sustainability report, where applicable. Implementation progress is also discussed for budget purposes where specific actions and their corresponding finances are set for the upcoming years. view top 100 |
