American Community Survey Public Use Micro Sample, augmented by NYC Opportunity. This file contains poverty rates and related data from the NYCgov poverty measure data. The NYCgov poverty measure is generated annually by the poverty research unit of the Mayor's Office of Economic Opportunity (NYC Opportunity). The data is derived from the American Community Survey Public Use Microsample for NYC, augmented by NYC Opportunity to include imputed estimates for benefit participation and some household expenditures. Companies listed as of the most recent export date have been issued Class 1 self-hauler registrations by the Business Integrity Commission. They are authorized to remove, collect or dispose of trade waste that is generated in the course of operation of such person's business. (Companies removing, collecting or disposing of construction and demolition debris must apply for Exemption from Licensing Requirements, otherwise known as Class 2 Construction and Demolition Registration). This data is collected on the entities that apply with the commission to operate as class 1 self hauler registrants. Each record represents an entity that is approved to operate in the City of New York by the Commission. The Application Type field denotes the class of application 'CL1' noting the type of applicant which is Class 1 Self Hauler Registration The BIC Number field is unique to every company that applies to the Commission.

NYC Reported Dog Bites. Information reported assists the Health Department to determine if the biting dog is healthy ten days after the person was bitten in order to avoid having the person bitten receive unnecessary rabies shots. Data is collected from reports received online, mail, fax or by phone to 311 or NYC DOHMH Animal Bite Unit. Each record represents a single dog bite incident. Information on breed, age, gender and spayed or neutered status have not been verified by DOHMH and is listed only as reported to DOHMH.
