2018 Cambridge Building Energy and Water Use Disclosure Data
data.cambridgema.gov | Last Updated 2019-03-28T23:57:30.000ZThis dataset contains compliance status and energy and water use data gathered through the Building Energy Use Disclosure Ordinance (BEUDO). Property details, energy use and water use data are submitted by property owners or managers whose properties are subject to BEUDO through an online energy and water use benchmarking tool called ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. Parcel level property information is obtained from the City of Cambridge Property Database. Energy and water use information submitted by property owners and managers is shown for properties that first began reporting in the 2015 BEUDO reporting cycle. These include nonresidential properties 50,000 square feet or more, residential properties with 50 or more units and municipal properties 10,000 square feet or more. In 2016, nonresidential properties 25,000 square feet or more began submitting reports for the first time and their data was disclosed beginning in 2017. Please note that the “Property Type” column distinguishes reports based on whether they contain information about a single building or multiple buildings. If you are running summary statistics on this dataset, make sure to avoid duplicating data by filtering for “single” reports and “parent” reports. Child properties are buildings also included in parent reports. The “Buildings Included” column details what buildings are included in parent reports, with the first building ID indicating the parent property.

City Senior Center Interval Energy Data
data.cambridgema.gov | Last Updated 2019-11-19T15:21:54.000Z5-minute interval electric data for the Cambridge Senior center located at 806 Massachusetts Avenue from April 2013 through July 2018. The dataset enables analysis of electricity usage patterns over a series of days, weeks, months and years; this can help identify opportunities to reduce energy use and demand and can be used as a starting point to correlate energy consumption changes with conservation measures. Electricity use is the amount of electricity that has been consumed over a certain period of time. Electricity demand is the maximum amount of electrical energy that is being consumed at a given time. Electricity use is measured in kilowatt hours (kWh). Electricity demand is measured in kilowatts (kW). Additionally, this dataset contains measurements for Power Factor and Reactive Power. Power Factor is the ratio of the real power that is flowing to the load and the apparent power that is supplied to the circuit. Reactive Power occurs in alternating current circuits when there is a phase difference between voltage and current. It is measured in kVAR for demand and kVARh for use.

Cambridge Roads Polygon
data.cambridgema.gov | Last Updated 2018-05-30T15:01:28.000ZCity of Cambridge, MA GIS basemap development project encompasses the land area of City of Cambridge with a 200 foot fringe surrounding the area and Charles River shoreline towards Boston. The basemap data was developed at 1" = 40' mapping scale using digital photogrammetric techniques. Planimetric features; both man-made and natural features like vegetation, rivers have been depicted. These features are important to all GIS/mapping applications and publication. A set of data layers such as Buildings, Roads, Rivers, Utility structures, 1 ft interval contours are developed and represented in the geodatabase. The features are labeled and coded in order to represent specific feature class for thematic representation and topology between the features is maintained for an accurate representation at the 1:40 mapping scale for both publication and analysis. The basemap data has been developed using procedures designed to produce data to the National Standard for Spatial Data Accuracy (NSSDA) and is intended for use at 1" = 40 ' mapping scale. This layer is occasionally updated from site plans submitted to the City. The accuracy of the edits do not meet the specifications of the 2010 mapping project, but are a better reflection of what is on the ground currently.
