This dataset provides median earnings in past 12 months for the civilian employed population 16 years and over by industry for State of Iowa, individual Iowa counties, Iowa places and census tracts within Iowa. Data is from the American Community Survey, Five Year Estimates, Table B24031. The following industries are included in the dataset: Agriculture forestry fishing and hunting, Mining quarrying and oil and gas extraction, Construction, Manufacturing, Wholesale trade, Retail trade, Transportation and warehousing, Utilities, Information, Finance and insurance, Real estate and rental and leasing, Professional scientific and technical services, Management of companies and enterprises, Administrative and support and waste management services, Educational services, Health care and social assistance, Arts entertainment and recreation, Accommodation and food services, Other services except public administration, and Public administration. A few roll up into industry groups.

This dataset provides summarized data for all expenditures from July 2003 through the current fiscal year, year to date, from the State's central accounting system. The state fiscal year runs from July 1 to the following June 30 and is numbered for the calendar year in which it ends. The State of Iowa operates on a modified accrual basis which provides that encumbrances on June 30 must be paid within 60 days after year end. The expenditures are summarized by Fiscal Year, Month, Fund, Appropriation, Department, Unit, and Object Class.

The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) is charged by the Iowa General Assembly with coordinating the following four training programs that fuel growth and competitiveness in Iowa’s economy by delivering customized training to support a skilled workforce for Iowa business: 1. Industrial New Jobs Training Act – 260E 2. Iowa Jobs Training Act – 260F 3. Accelerated Career Education Program Act – 260G 4. Apprenticeship Training Act – 15B IEDA is responsible for administering these programs on behalf of the State of Iowa by ensuring conformance with statutory and administrative rule provisions, providing guidance, and requiring accountability and transparency in operational practices. Each of Iowa’s 15 community colleges is responsible for implementing and managing the 260E, 260F and 260G programs.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has six field offices (FO) who are local representatives to help people understand DNR’s environmental programs. Field staff conduct inspections for facilities with DNR environmental permits, and respond to spills and complaints. This Field Office Compliance Database tracks the major actions of FO staff, and shows compliance issues found by the FOs. Compliance issues before 2009 or started by the Central Office may not be included.

The Iowa Lakes Information System provides the Iowa Department of Natural Resources with lake monitoring data, including biological, chemical, and limnological analyses on Iowa’s most important lakes. These monitoring data have many uses (e.g., lakes classification for restoration, water quality evaluation, monitoring). The mini-report allows the public to compile and print personalized summary reports for 130 of Iowa’s principle recreational lakes. Searching for your lake of interest is organized alphabetically and done within three different search mechanisms (Lake by Index, Lake by Search, and Lake by County).

These special events include more than 700 fishing tournaments; up to 500 ATV, snowmobile, and boating activities; dog field trials; Scouting events and more. The special events application system allows you to simply browse through the listing of special events, or perform detailed searches for events that are of a type, location, or time that are particularly interesting. Map-based search options are also available.
