Permits - Right of Way

The dataset contains information on permits that were issued by the Right of Way Management Division. The dataset contains open permits including: right of way excavations and installations, residential and commercial driveway entrances, general temporary parking, storage, and dumpsters, hauling oversize and cranes, and lane, street, and sidewalk closures. The information is obtained from web-hosted site, PermitCity. The dataset will provide information on issue, start and end dates, applicant, work performed for, type and kind of permit, inspector, contact number, and XY coordinates. Norfolk Public Art Map

Public art is artwork in public locations where everyone can see and enjoy it. Norfolk is among the great cities that use public art to inspire, educate, beautify and give character to public places. The Public Arts Commission together with city staff, developed policies for the development of artwork that creates a unique image and sense of place for Norfolk. This dataset is a compiled list of existing public art recorded by Norfolk

Litter Index

The Community Appearance Index, also known as the Litter Index, is a tool designed by Keep America Beautiful to visually evaluate the overall appearance of a community using litter as an indicator. Every year, 60 routes throughout the 5 wards of Norfolk are analyzed to determine the cleanliness of the city. After a brief training, a team of volunteers conduct the analysis using a scoring system ranging from 1-4 with “1” indicating minimal to no litter and “4” indicating extremely littered.

Parking Citations

This dataset contains the number of citations issued over a selected three-year period. The data is from reports provided by the Division of Parking’s T2 Flex operating system. This dataset will provide the following information per citation: o The time and date of which the citation was issued o The violation type and code associated to the issued citation o The location where the citation was issued o The state in which the vehicle is registered o The license plate numbers of the vehicle to which a citation has been issued o The make, model, and color of the vehicle to which a citation has been issued o The fine amount of the citation issued

This dataset represents the 2019 Real Estate Assessment and Sales data that is updated on a quarterly basis by the Real Estate Assessor’s Office. This dataset contains information for properties in the city including: Acreage, Square footage, GPIN, Street Address, year built, current land value, current improvement values, and current total value. The information is obtained from Real Estate Assessor’s Office ProVal records database

Street Light and Outage Map

Information regarding Dominion Energy owned (city leased) street light locations and types within the city of Norfolk and monthly reporting of street light outages throughout the city. The data is collected, updated, and maintained by Dominion Energy. The outages reported are those that have been reported by residents.
